Tyres (wheels, rims) manual static balancer for motorbikes (made by Bike-Lift - Italy)

This type of balancer is used by the biggest racing teams. Built of tubing with a box structure and powder-painted. Extra hard steel sliding wheels mounted on highly sensitive bearings. It is equipped with a rabbet level and 4 adjustable feet to get the proper perpendicularity and the most precise parallelism to the base. It comes with pin (length 418 mm, diameter 15 mm) and 2 cones allowing adjustment to any kind of wheels with pin diameter from 15 to 35 mm.
1 gram precision. Balancer flanges for rear tyres of bikes with single swing arm are available apart.

Directions for correct wheel balancing
Remove the wheel from the bike and insert the pin provided with the balancer in the hole for the wheel pin. Then slip the two bored cones on the pin: one on the left and one on the right of the wheel, very close to it, so that the cones tip will touch the wheel.
Put the whole on the balancer pads (see picture).
Make the wheel rotate and wait for it to stop by itself: the lower point where the wheel stops is the heaviest point. Then place a lead weight not heavier than 30 grams on the opposite higher part (weights are not provided, however they are the classic sticky weights you can buy at any tyre-dealer).
Make the wheel rotate and check again where it stops. If the low part is the same of the first time, it means you have to add some weight in the opposite upper part. If instead the low part is that where you put the first weight, it means that weight is too much.
If the wheel will stop at a different random point, it means balancing is correct: you have only to repeat the trials 1 or 2 times to make sure that the wheel always stops at different and random points.
The wheel is this way balanced and you can re-assemble it.
