Optimate 4 battery charger
Desulphating battery optimiser and maintainer-charger.
For 12 V lead-acid batteries up to 50 Ah, whether sealed maintenance-free, gel, or "flooded" type with filler caps.

The micro-processor controlled OptiMate 4 can save neglected batteries. The OptiMate 4 is even more effective, with a new dual-stage recovery + turbo recovery action. For modestly neglected deep-discharged batteries the recovery mode engages automatically, while the turbo recovery mode engages for more severely neglected batteries.
The OptiMate 4 then charges the battery, verifies that the battery is as fully charged as its basic state of health allows, and then checks for and detects dead battery cells.
Maximum output current is 0.8 A.
48 hour time limit on stages up to the first of the cyclic tests for battery drain to avoid wasting time and energy on batteries with a shorted-out cell.
19 possible LED indications displayed on 10 LEDs on the stunning new control panel.
5 possible results of the cyclic hourly tests for power drain / retention are displayed on a combination of green, yellow and red test LEDs.
IP64 weatherproof sealed housing with built-in mounting lugs (replaceable if damaged for example by over-tightening a fixing screw).

But, the most important attribute of the OptiMate 4 is the safe, optimal maintenance of your battery during long term storage, achieved by its gentle maintenance cycle which automatically allows the battery to rest for 30 minutes of each hour of the maintenance cycle while it remains connected.

The automatic multi-stage programme engages as soon as the OptiMate is connected to a 12 V battery retaining at least 2 V.
1. The OptiMate 4 immediately checks if the battery retains at least enough voltage to enable the programme, and whether the battery is deep-discharged ("sulphated") or not.
2. For neglected batteries, the OptiMate 4 initialises the recovery mode, initially limiting the applied voltage at 16 V, and if necessary for sulphated batteries, engaging turbo recovery at a voltage of up to 22 V. At low current for up to 2 hours, to recover the battery to a condition in which it can accept a charge more "normally".
3. As soon as the circuit detects that this point has been reached (immediately for most batteries), the "bulk charge" mode engages and delivers current at a constant rate of 0.8 A to charge the battery.
4. When the battery-sensing circuit observes that charge progress is sufficient, the unique 'verification' stage engages. The voltage is limited at a lower level and if sensed necessary, a voltage pulsing action achieves further desulphating and tops off the charge. When this has been verified, or if after 48 hours from connection the battery has been unable to accept and retain adequate charge, the next stage engages.
5. The OptiMate 4 then ceases to offer current to the battery for 30 minutes while it monitors the unsupported battery voltage so as to check whether the battery can retain sufficient charge to crank an engine, before the long term maintenance and test cycle commences.
6. During the following 30 minutes the OptiMate 4 offers the battery a supporting and maintaining charge, but only to the extent necessary to counter any losses or connected loads such as an electronic alarm or immobiliser. Overcharging and/or overheating of the battery is ruled out by this 50% duty cycle whereby the battery is interactively maintained for 30 minutes and then rests during the power drain tests of each alternative 30 minutes. The battery is always 100 % in optimal service condition, but never overcharged.

The OptiMate's high voltage desulphation mode cannot engage unless the battery is first disconnected from the vehicle's electrical system. However, even if the battery is not disconnected, the OptiMate 4 cannot damage sensitive vehicle electronics as the higher voltage mode can only engage if minimal or zero current is flowing into the battery.

Accumate battery charger
Fully automatic: all you have to do is select 6 or 12 V battery voltage. For batteries up to 75 Ah maximum capacity.
Can be used for all types of lead/acid, gel cell, fully sealed maintenance free and hybrid lead-calcium batteries (not for Ni-Cd or dry batteries).
Advanced 3 stage charge program also features provision for using the Accumate as a battery maintainer if the battery is not used for extended periods.

Accumate charges at 1.2 A constant current (with maximum efficacy and minimum time) until the voltage rises to 14.3 V, just before gassing. Then it maintains this voltage till the battery current comes to 200 mA. Voltage is then limited to 13.6 V for battery maintenance. During this condition, the current arriving to the battery is continuously monitored and, if it exceeds 200 mA, the charging programme will be restarted.

The yellow and green LEDs show the battery charging conditions. It is absolutely safe, also for unskilled users. It is electronically protected against short circuits and reversals of polarity. No sparks, even in case of short circuit.

Supplied with waterproof connecting cable to the battery for fast connection of AccuMate battery charger. You just have to connect the two red / black clips to your car / bike battery directly, and leave them always connected. Then, fix the other end of the cable in a place easy to reach. You can this way connect the Accumate battery charger at any time, easily and rapidly, with no need to disconnect anything from your car / bike. Fuse-holder with 10 A fuse is also supplied within.

AccuMate Compact battery charger
This compact high quality 4-stage maintenance charger should be used for all types of 12 V lead-acid batteries from 2 Ah up to 32 Ah. The AccuMate Compact can also maintain larger batteries (they will just take longer to charge).

The plug pins can be rotated 90° in relation to the body of the charger to allow it to be plugged into sockets even where there is some obstruction close by. Furthermore, each charger comes with a selection of plastic plug props that can be plugged into (and protrude from) holes in the lower edge of the charger housing so as to relieve the stress on the socket due to the weight and rotational leverage of the charger.

Charging circuit will engage and attempt to recharge any 12 V lead-acid battery retaining at least 2 V at the moment of connection; i.e. even a very flat battery.

3 m long output cable, plus 2 detachable and replaceable connection sets, the one with metal eyelets for permanent fixing to the battery posts and easy and quick connection / disconnection to batteries on the vehicle, the other with battery clips for charging and maintenance of batteries removed from the vehicle.

TestMate Mini Tester

A simple, easy to use portable battery and charging system tester for any vehicle (or outdoor power equipment) with a 12 V starter battery.
